I know you use Mylio as a photo organizer, but it seems limited in the sense that (apart from keywords) I don't see a way to very quickly rank and tag photos. You'll want to use a thumbnail view to view a few dozen or more photos at once to help you quickly move through a ranking or tagging system. That's true, although I wonder if there's an automated way to flag duplicates and get rid of those first? Neither of the above suggestions will solve your culling of the 60,000 non-duplicate images down to 5,000 or so keepers. Other tools may use different criteria to detect dupes. You can instruct Lightroom Classic to disregard duplicate files when importing. Lightroom Classic determines a photo is a duplicate of another file in the catalog if it has the same, original filename the same Exif capture date and time and the same file size.

Just let the import fix the names so everything gets into your new consolidated catalog. If you suspect overlapping filename AND dates, you should not allow any auto deletion. My dates are from the EXIF when each image was captured. Idea is to have commonality over whole collection. I prefer yyyyyyyy-MM-ddyyyy-MM-dd_hhmmss_. Preferably you can rename all files to a common format during import. I know Lightroom but most image management apps use similar cataloging methods. Need to be sure whether they are truly dupes or two different images that happened to get same name due to overlapping camera numbering schemes. If you have the storage space, you could always archive the remainder of the 100,000 (or 60k after removing duplicates) by moving the remaining files from the various locations on your computer to an external hard drive if referencing them would ever be helpful. Sort by whatever criteria you use for keepers and you could export or move all of those files to one place and work from there.

You could then flag or star your “keeper” images as you go through them.

It will be able to aggregate all of the images (everything on the computers!) together and allow you to sort them by date, equipment, and camera settings. I really want to get things organized, clean out the garbage (including uninteresting originals), and get down to maybe 5,000 originals plus keeper-quality edited versions. I'd guess that about 40% of my total number of files are duplicates or variations of the same original image. I've been really busy until now, and so I've grabbed images as I've needed them, edited them as the situation required, and left them in dozens of different locations on my computers, sometimes renamed and sometimes not.
